I, Jim Lewis, have been recording events for over 20 years using 3 or 4 cameras.  In the beginning each peace of equipment was carried into the building and wired together before we could make a recording.  Now I moved all of the control room equipment into a 25 foot motor home that had been gutted or was emptied.  Only a “white” box or the hub goes inside and the cameras are connected to it and the video cable that comes from the motor home.  The white box or hub is plugged into a nearby wall outlet and supplies the power to the cameras and the intercom.  The hub also contains the driver circuits for the camera tally lights and the gen lock signal to each camera.  The 24 volt DC intercom power runs all of the intercom headsets for the camera operators and back feeds the control room in the motor home.  The presents of intercom power shows me that the white box is plugged in to a wall outlet.  I am now 65 years old and I still like directing the recordings of plays, concerts, graduations and some very special events.
